Against the challenging backdrop of extensive disruptions and lockdowns worldwide due to the COVID-19 pandemic, leading real estate company Mapletree has completed One Verandah, a prestigious residential project located in the golden area of District 2 in Ho Chi Minh City, two months ahead of schedule.

The group, headquartered in Singapore, has further progressed to commence the handover of the apartments to its first residents.

Despite the challenges resulting from COVID-19, Mapletree welcomed its first batch of residents to One Verandah in June.

As an experienced homebuyer, another owner believes that One Verandah is one of the most high-end residential projects in District 2.

Potential investment

District 2 will remain a highly sought-after area for development, with abundant land funds and prospective investors eyeing the newly-formed residential areas in Thanh My Loi, which is also the location of the District 2 People’s Committee. Property values in this area are also expected to continue to increase with the completion of infrastructural developments.

With its prime location next to the Saigon River, the award-winning One Verandah bagged the “Best High-End Condo Architectural Design” as well as a highly commended award for “Best High-End Condo Landscape Architectural Design”.

In a survey of investment trends in the residential market for the first quarter of 2020 conducted by CBRE Vietnam, the majority of respondents indicated interest and priority to purchase apartments in District 2 and consider it to be an ideal area to live in.
