High-end and luxury apartment segments attract customers and increase prices

According to CBRE Vietnam’s new apartment categorisation, high-end apartments have average primary prices of US$2,000-4,000/sq.m, while luxury ones have prices of more than US$4,000/sq.m. However, luxury apartment market in recent quarters constantly see projects with record-breaking prices of US$7,500-12,000/sq.m. Duong Duc Hien, Director of Housing Business in North and Central regions at Savills Vietnam, said that despite of high demand on high-end housing, HCMC government still limits licensing new projects in the city. However, projects that are already approved and within planning will continue to be developed, providing property investors a competitive edge in the segment.
